Character, Leadership and Success

When we talk about developing character we are talking about the set of basic principles of effective living that will enable us to experience true success and enduring happiness.  Among those principles are respect, integrity, maturity, abundance mentality, and personal responsibility. Our surroundings may determine where we are, but our choices determine who we are and where we will be! Character is central to effective decision making as well as leadership. Character is doing the right thing when it is difficult, when no one is watching, when there is no reward, when it is simply right. Successful leaders not only tell it like it is, they tell it like it ought to be and that requires character.
